Decided to make our first post even though our blog is not completely set up. Mom and I decided that we were going to start a new adventure together, making machine embroidery designs.
So far they adventure is going well...I say that even though we have not yet made a marketable design. Creating one design multiple times sure does make you humble, but it is all good when you are learning.
The program that I am using to digitize with is a bit difficult, but getting easier. There aren't very many tutorials out there for it unless you want to spend a great deal of money for them. I have learned this is one industry that is very secretive. Not a lot of people like to share information. Even on the few message board that I have found, not a lot of people like to share information.
In a way, Mom and I (yes I am the me part of Me and Mom) would like to change some of that, but first we have to get better familiar with what we are doing.
I am in the process of setting up a timeline to have our first few designs completed, but every time I have to start over, it pushes the timeline back. I am hoping at this point to have two designs ready for the 1st of July.
